Hey crafty friends, Einat Kessler here with a new project! I finally got to play with Ann Butler Designs Iridescents and they are AMAZING! Until now I couldn’t get them because sending them in the mail was too much weight and postage. But being at the CHA Mega Show on January gave Ann a chance to give me some in person for me to take home. Thanks, Ann! I can only say I have a new favorite paint! I started playing immediately and started with painting a white box I had.
I couldn’t decide which color to use, so I used three! I used Berry, Amethyst, and Lilac. These colors are so shimmery it’s incredible and as a bling girl, I was immediately in love. I wanted to add more layers but I didn’t have to. The paint is so thick and rich one coat of paint was enough and covered the surface perfectly. You’re probably saying “oh…it must take so long to dry”. No, it dries really fast so you basically get a vibrant rich color that dries quickly…amazing right?
I tried the paint on a chipboard monogram and even on an untreated chipboard one coat of paint was enough. I just used what was left on my brush and it was enough! It just maximizes your supplies when you only need to use a little paint to cover a large surface and it means the paint will last for a long time! There is no chance it’ll dry up, because there is a really good lid to seal the container.
I just had so much fun creating this altered box using Ann Butler Designs Iridescent paints that I was almost sorry when I finished it as it went so quickly. But I’m definitely going to be playing with them a lot more in the future!
Have fun creating!
