Hi Everyone…today I am thrilled to be part of a Christmas in July Make Along with the Underground Crafter. I am sharing some Stamp and Stitch Christmas Napkins. These are so quick and easy to whip up and would be perfect for a gift or at your own holiday parties. The best part is that you can mix and match the patterns and colors so that everyone’s is unique.
Here is a Stamped and Stitched Napkin in shades of green with Christmas Trees…now to get started…
Step One:
For the Tree design above, ink up the 2″ solid triangle with Limelight and stamp solid image onto fabric about 1 1/2″ from one of the corners. Ink up the 2″ Trees All Over triangle with Evergreen and stamp image next to the solid image, forming a square. What is unique about these stamps is that they have a patented design that has no lip and you are able to see exactly where to stamp even though they are red rubber.
Step Two:
Ink up the 2″ solid triangle with Deep Woods and stamp solid image onto fabric right next to the trees image, see photo…
Continue stamping until you have the pattern shown in the photo…
Iron to heat set (this will make the inks permanent).
Step Three:
Press the edge of your fabric about a 1/4″ all the way around.
Then, press another 1/4″ all the way around so that the raw edges are covered.
Step Four:
Use 2 or 3 strands of floss and do a running stitch around the outer edge of the fabric. Next, do a running stitch around the design between the patterns. Tie off floss as needed, apply a dab of glue if needed and trim.
And your done…with the first Stamp and Stitch Christmas Napkin. You can change the color of floss for each guest or the design…below is one created using the Snowflake Freenzy triangle stamp and inks in blue.
Share the Stamp and Stitch Christmas Napkins you make with me on Social Media…I would love to see them!
