Hi, everyone!! I hope you have had a chance to get your sampler ready for stitching….In Part 1 of our video, we used Ann Butler’s Crafter’s Inks (I love that they are “juicy” with color and show up so well on fabric!), Clorbox Background Stamps and a pencil or micron pen to create our sampler. This technique allows each stitcher to create their own sampler – some may have more or less blocks, more or less stamping but all will be beautifully embroidered!
In today’s video, Part 2, features the chain stitch that we will use along our pen/pencil borders. Once mastered, the chain stitch can be used to not only create borders but also shapes including flowers. Success in Stitching Tips
*Cut thread to a manageable length – too long will tangle, too short will not yield many stitches
*Separate threads and join 3 threads back together and thread through the needle
*Work towards even stitch length
*Do not be afraid to take out stitches that do not look right- you will be so glad you did!
