So how is everybody enjoying their summer?. This is a perfect Quick & Easy Mixed Media Canvas project for a hot summer day and perfect to brighten your walls.

Let’s get started…

Step 1:

Firstly, I used all the different colors Ann Butler’s Crafter’s Ink on the canvas, there are 12 of them to choose from:0).  This is the first time I used ink pads to color the canvas and I have to admit I love this technique.

Step 2:

Then, I inked the lattice art screen using a brayer and made the impression on the canvas to create some depth and interest.

Step 3:

Using the lilac re-inker, I put some on the cutting mat and sprayed some water on the ink and then, I spattered the ink onto the canvas with a brush.  Gives some more dimension to this quick & easy mixed media canvas project.

Step 4:

Now comes this really cool technique.  I used some die cut paper flowers.  Dabbed some berry ink on the cutting mat and sprayed a lot of water and then, I  colored the paper flowers with the ink.

Step 5:

While the paper die cuts were still damp I crumpled the petals to give some dimension to the flowers and stacked the petals to put them together with a brad.

Step 6:

Finally, I embellished the canvas with metal embellishments, a frame and the flowers to finish off this FUN Quick & Easy Mixed Media Canvas.
