Quick and Easy Stamped Shabby Tote Bag

Hello friends, Donna here with you again to show you how to make this FUN Quick and Easy Stamped Shabby Tote Bag!

You could use this

Shabby Tote Bag for the library, diaper bag or for the groceries and so much more!

There are so many uses for this Quick and Easy Stamped Shabby Tote Bag!

This tote can be made in one evening, so why not?

Step 1:

Gather all of your materials.

Step 2:

With Ann Butler ColorBox® Background Basics Quilt Stamps and her 2″ Square Faux Quilting Stamps, randomly stamp different patterns in different colors onto muslin using assorted colors of Ann Butler ColorBox Crafter’s Ink .  (Always pre-wash your material before stamping)

Step 3:

Heat set the ink by using a dry iron.

Step 4:

Cut out the squares using a scissors and leave a 1/4″ space all the way around the square, as if it was a seam allowance.

Step 5:

Lay out the squares onto a canvas tote bag, change them around until you get the design you like.  Then, pin it down.

Step 6:

Using 2 strands of embroidery thread, make a running stitch around the outer edge, to stitch the stamped quilt squares on.

Step 7:

Stitch on some buttons here and there. Enjoy!
