Hi everyone, Tammy Santana here with a fun pinwheel party favor for your end of Summer party. I can’t believe how early school starts in Southern California this year. We go back mid-August, so I”m starting my end of Summer party planning already. These pinwheel straw decorations really bring a fun and simple decoration for sodas at a party.
Supplies:
- Ann Butler Designs Backgroud Basics Stamps
- Ann Butler Designs Crafter’s Inks
- Cardstock
- Label paper
- Silhouette machine
- Silhouette cutting file for pinwheel
- Glue Dots® Adhesive
Instructions:
Use a Silhouette machine to cut out pinwheels from yellow cardstock and also from white label paper.
Use Ann Butler’s Background Basics stamps and Ann Butler Designs Crafter”s Inks to stamp fun designs on the label paper pinwheels. Attach the stamped pinwheels to the cardstock pinwheels for a two tone effect.
Bring sides of pinwheels with holes into the center and attach a flower brad.
Cut strips of label paper and add adhesive to back side of one end and then attach that side to the back of the pinwheel.
Peel off protective layer of label paper to expose adhesive and place a straw in the center. Fold over strip to attach straw to pinwheel.
You can use the straws as decorations, for centerpieces or to drink out of. I really love how festive these look with the stamped designs on them. They will add a fun element to my end of Summer party for sure! I hope this has given you some creative ideas on how to use the Ann Butler Designs Background stamps.
