Hey crafty friends, Einat Kessler here with a new project! I admit it, I have a weakness for frames…I love frames of all shapes and sizes and I even have a wall at my house full of frames with family photos. A frame is such a versatile thing that can be altered, painted, stamped, collage…basically it’s like a canvas, you can do anything you want on it and make it your own. This mini frame I created is full of bright colors and texture, all done with Ann Butler Designs amazing Iridescents.
I took an old cardboard frame that I had. I didn’t like its silvery color so I decided to alter it and give it a new paint, a paint color I like. Since the front of the frame was from metallic glossy paper I had to cover it with three coats of paint. But there is nothing these Iridescents can’t cover! when it was dry I could see all the beautiful shimmer these colors have in them. Then I added white circles with a circle foam brush. The Iridescents have such a thick consistency they are almost like modeling paste. I add the circles and was able to also add texture to the circles with the foam brush.
Finally it was time to add the final touches. I continues the circle motif with some white paint dots and pearls. I wrote some inspirational words with a black permanent pen to add even more texture and meaning to the frame.
Now I need to think what photo to put inside…
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you likes this project. It can be a great party favor or a gift. Play around with the colors and the theme and you can create a frame for any wall or occasion.
Have fun creating!
Einat
