Hi crafty friends! Einat Kessler here with a new project. I just love sending cards in the mail and even more so if the envelope matches the card. So this easy and quick project is all about matching colors and patterns.
I started with stamping the card and envelope with a pattern of Ann Butler Designs 1″ Faux Quilting Stamps. I used different stamps and different Ann Butler Designs Crafter’s Inks. I used a large acrylic block to arrange the stamps in a row and then applied the inks in a random way and stamped both the card and envelope. Then I took a baby wipe and applied a little of the inks as background to add a little color to the envelope and card. I didn’t want a busy pattern because it’s not allowed on the envelope and I wanted it to match the card, so I created a very minimal pattern.
I used green and blue colors of the ink because they look so pretty when they mix together, which is exactly what happened after I used the baby wipe. This was something I didn’t plan on but turned out really cool, don’t you think?
If you change the colors of the inks or the size of the stamps, you know Ann Butler Designs Faux Quilting stamps come in 2″ and 3″ too, you can change the set’s vibe completely. You can even create a few of these cards and envelopes and give it as a gift for someone you love 🙂
I left the card empty because I still don’t know what I’m going to use it for… But I’m sure who’ll ever get it will have fun opening the envelope and discover what’s inside.
Have fun creating!
Einat
