Hey crafty friends Einat Kessler here with another project! I had so much fun with Ann Butler Designs Iridescents I just had to play some more create another project. I had some old unused chipboards that have been occupying space in one of my drawers, so I decide it was time to use them. I always found words to be very inspiring and I wanted to create inspirational words tags to use in later projects.
I started with painting the chipboard with Sheer Russet Iridescents. I painted two coats to get the full metallic vibrant effect of the paint. It dried really quickly and I could go on to my next step which was adding a bold purple frame around each chipboard. I used a little paint on the edge of my brush and just rubbed it gently against the edge. I added some patterns with Ann Butler Designs 1″ faux Quilting stamps and wrote one inspiring positive word on each chipboard.
I wanted to add some extra effects so I used a contrasting light color. I used some found objects that I had around my studio to create colored effects on the chipboard. The paint is so thick it’s almost thick enough to use as modeling paste. So the effects I created added texture as well. And you can’t beat that shimmer look that the paints give any project.
I’m really tempted to create some more tags and bind them together with a ring to a little inspirational mini album. If you like quotes more, you can write some quotes instead of the words or even add little photos and make it a proper mini album.
I hope you will try these paints and be excited about them as I am.
Have fun creating!
Einat
