Hello, friends. Larissa here with you today with a Hello card with Ann Butler Designs products I made.
- Ann Butler Designs Iridescents from Earth Safe Finishes™: Limelight, Tangelo, and Lilac
- Ann Butler Designs Flourish 2″ ABC’s
- Earth Safe Finishes™ Crackle Paint
- Paint Brush
- White cardstock or watercolor paper, black cardstock and a white cardbase
- Black Ink
- Acrylic Block
- Embellishments: I used Kreinik Metallic Threads and a rhinestone
What I did:
- I painted a thin layer of the Crackle on the piece of white cardstock.
- After is dried completely I painted a thin layer of each of the colors of Iridescents.
- Once the Iridescents were dry I painted a little more of the crackle over the top.
Even though I didn’t get quite the look I was going for I think it works.
We don’t always get the desired look and sometimes it is ok, which is the case here. Other times we have to walk away from our project to come back later and see what else we can do. - I let everything dry completely before moving on to the stamping.
- I stamped HELLO in a staggered pattern on the card front. Be careful with this step. The card is slick where I painted it and the stamp will move if you are not careful.
- Once it was dry I glued it to the black mat and then adhered it all to the white card base.
- To finish it all off, I added an orange bow and a rhinestone.
I used Halloween colors since we are still in the month of October, however, I think you could use any color for a cheerful Hello card.
I hope you enjoyed my post today. Have a wonderful day, friends.
