Here’s how to create Faux Quilted Falling Leaves Door Decor:
Step 1:

Base-coat each of the three wooden leaves a different color.  Antique Gold, Hauser Medium Green and Heritage Brick, then let dry.  After that apply a second coat, if necessary.

Step 2:

On a large (4″ by 6″) acrylic stamp block build a crazy quilt pattern using 1″ Squares, 2″ Squares, 1″ Triangles and 2″ Triangles from a variety of the Ann Butler Stamp Sets.  Because this is a crazy quilt pattern the placement of the stamps can be totally random!

Load the crazy quilt stamp with Tangerine Ink and stamp onto the gold leaf, then clean off the stamp with a baby wipe.

In addition, stamp Deep Woods Ink on the green leaf and Bark Ink on the burgundy leaf.

Step 3:

Create two bows by wrapping 24″ of ribbon around your hand and then tie in the center with a 6″ length of the same ribbon.  Fluff bow and then adhere an acorn to the center of each bow with hot glue.

Step 4:

Finally, attach the burgundy bow to the top of the gold leaf, and then attach the orange bow to the top of the burgundy leaf with the hot glue gun.
