Good Morning Y’all! Beth with @creativelybeth here to share a Faux Quilted Fall Leaves and Acorn project that will give you a head start toward your Autumn home decorating! The chunky Ann Butler Designs Background Basics Stamps are perfect for adding a quilted texture to any project!
Here’s how to make Faux Quilted Fall Leaves and Acorn Home Decor
STEP ONE:
I always start out by testing out sample color palettes on the backs of the surfaces. This helps to figure out what pops and then it can be painted over to give the project a finished look.
STEP TWO:
Base coat the Acorn and Leaves with acrylic paint and set aside to dry. Apply a second coat, if necessary.
STEP THREE:
Mask off the acorn cap with a scrap piece of paper. Load Background Basics Picnic Stamp with Bark Crafter’s Ink, then apply to the bottom of the acorn.
STEP FOUR:
Mask off the bottom of the acorn. Load Background Basics Diamonds Stamp with Desert Sand Crafter’s Ink, then apply to acorn cap.
STEP FIVE:
Stamp Background Basics Weave, Diamonds, Checks and Picnic randomly on both leaves with Sunshine, Tangerine and Canyon Crafter’s Inks in a patchwork style pattern. I always use baby wipes to clean off my stamps.
