Hi everyone! Tammy here today with an easy tutorial on how to add some unique texture to greeting cards by adding faux quilted fabric accents. St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and my husband is Irish, so I thought I would make him a cute card. I like the idea of adding additional textures to greeting cards through the use of fabric, and by using the Faux Quilting Stamps by Ann Butler I was able to add some interesting faux quilted prints to the fabric.
Supplies I used for this project:
- Ann Butler Designs ColorBox™ Crafter’s Ink
- Ann Butler Designs Faux Quilting Stamps from Unity Stamp Co
- Acrylic stamping block
- Green and Gold glitter cardstock
- Silhouette machine
- Silhouette card design
- Adhesive machine
- Printable cotton fabric sheets
How I created the card:
- I stamped the cotton fabric sheet with the Evergreen Crafters Ink and Faux Quilting Stamps
- I purchased a card design for my Silhouette machine and cut out the pieces from the stamped fabric
- I used my adhesive machine to attach the pieces of the card to each other and added a sentiment to the inside of the card with additional glitter cardstock shamrocks for embellishments.
I really like how this card turned out, I love to see your projects also! Tag me on Instagram @TammySmithSantana
