Hey crafty friends, Einat Kessler here with a new project for you!
Some of the kids already went back to school and some will do so in a few days. I can just hear a sigh of relief from the moms and lots of complaints from the kids… This project is just the right thing to start the year with a little color and a lot of style.
You can use any notebook that you want to alter and give it your own personal style. The Ann Butler Designs Background Basics stamps can go with any design, shape or wording. You can use them for girly designs and for more masculine designs because they have designs that fit both. I also like their large size and the fact that you can cover a large space on your project.
I stamped the cover of a notebook I made from white cardstocks only on the outer edge. To make sure the line was straight I placed a ruler as a border on the left side of the page and aligned the stamp with it. Once the edge was finished I added a strip of scrap paper to add more color. Finally I colored a chipboard butterfly with Ann Butler Designs Tangelo Crafter’s Ink and added it to the cover.
This project was so much fun I think I’m going to do some more notebooks. Suddenly I wish I was back at school…NAAA!
Have fun creating!
Einat
