Hi everyone! Today I’m posting a fun birthday card that I made for a friend of mine (birthday is next month, so it seemed fitting to use this color scheme).
Supplies used:
1″ Diamonds and Plaid set by Unity Faux Quilting Stamps by Ann Butler
Colorbox Crafter’s Ink in Tangelo by Ann Butler
Iridescents in Tangelo
other items from my stash: black cardstock, white cardstock, ribbon, scrap patterned paper, Stampin’ Up embossing folder -Argyle pattern
After embossing black cardstock with the embossing folder, I sponged Iridescents in Tangelo all over and around the edges.
Next, I took the white cardstock and stamped the diamond stamp from the 1″ Diamonds and Plaid set. I only stamped on half, leaving the other for the greeting image. After stamping the diamonds, I sponged Tangelo ink over the image. Black is also sponged around the entire cut piece.
Before adhering all the layers, I put a thin ribbon strip along the stamped edge.
It’s that simple. The black is adhered to the white cardstock base. I used a coordinating patterned paper next and the white based stamped image on top of that. The very top layer is the sentiment, and that was matted. And of course, I could not leave it be and had to add a little “sparkle” to the dots on the boot.
Hope you enjoyed this Happy Boot-day card! I think my friend will get a “kick” out of it!
Have a great day!
Paula
