Card using Background Basics

Hello, dear crafty friends! Vishu here today to share a Happy Birthday Card with Background Basics Stamps by Ann Butler Designs.

These stamps are amazing to work with, nice bold designs and very easy to use. For this card I also used Ann Butler Designs Crafter’s Ink, I must say the ink is really rich and juicy.

Products Used:

Ann Butler Crafter’s® Ink by Clearsnap – Night, Sunshine and Berry
Colorbox® Background Basics Stamps by Ann Butler – Diamond
Colorbox® Glitter – Winter Frost
Colorbox® Art Daubers
Cardstock, Lace, rhinestones, glue pen, gold embossing powder, paint brush

Instructions:

1. Cut a white cardstock as per your card measurements.

2. Take the Background Basics stamps, using the daubers dab different inks to the design on stamps and make an impression on the cardstock. In this example I have used two colors berry and night, you can even use three or four different colors. Make sure you go from lightest color to darkest so that your ink pad colors don’t mix up. Also, whenever you are using multiple inks like this make sure to wipe your stamps after each impression. I use baby wipes to wipe my stamps they work really well with any kind of stamp.

3. Once I created the background, I used paint brush and sunshine ink to fill in the lines of my stamped impression. Then I used a glue pen on the yellow colored areas and stuck some glitter.

4. Once the background was ready, I layered the card and embellished it with lace and rhinestones.

5. Lastly I added a sentiment to my card.

Stenciled Table Mat

Hello Friends! Vishu here today with a quick and easy Table Mat using Ann Butler Designs.

I can’t believe how quick the summer is slipping by and we are already half way through. My goal has been to make every sunny day count before the snow takes over and I have also been on a recycle and upcycle spree. I found the table mat while cleaning up the basement and decided to give it a new life.

ColorBox® Art Screens by Ann Butler (Lattice)

Earth Safe Finishes Iridescents by Ann Butler Aquamarine

Crafter’s Ink by Clearsnap: Night

Earth Safe Finishes Gesso

Instructions:

1. Apply a layer of ESF Gesso and let it dry. The table mat is originally made of wooden strips so covering it with Gesso was important to make a good base.

2. Apply a layer of Earth Safe Finishes Iridescents by Ann Butler in Aquamarine

3. Once dry use art screens by Ann Butler and dab the pattern using black ink.

Faux Quilted Stamped Card

Ann Butler Design 1″ Faux Quilt Stamps by Unity Stamp Company

ColorBox Crafter’s® by Ann Butler – Sunshine, Tangelo, Desert Sand, Ocean Breeze

Cardstock, sentiment stamp, rhinestones

Instructions:

1. Lay your quilt pattern using the Ann Butler Stamps on an acrylic block

2. Ink your pattern/stamps and stamp on a white cardstock

3. Using the sunshine and tangelo ink pads I added some color to my faux quilt pattern

4. Stamp your sentiment and layer it.

5. I attached my white cardstock on a black card base to make the colors pop.

6. attached the sentiment with foam glue dots and embellished using rhinestones.

I just love the look of this faux quilted stamped card with Ann Butler Designs.

Patterned Paper with Ann Butler Design Stamps

ColorBox Crafter’s ® Ink – Night
White cardstock, sponges, ribbon.

First I colored by white cardstock with the ColorBox Crafter’s® by Ann Butler and then stamped the image with black ink. While the ink was wet I brushed some iridescent powder to give the patterned paper a shimmery look, no sure if you can see it……but the paper looks really pretty and sparkly.

The rest of the box was pretty easy to put together. I scored and cut at the desired dimensions and my box was ready.

Lastly I embellished the box with some ribbon and handmade paper flowers.

Strip Pieced Faux Quilted Card

Hello, Crafty Friends, Vishu here today with a Strip Pieced Faux Quilted Card . Couple days ago I tried a quilt card and it seems to have struck a crafty cord so sharing another one today.

Ann Butler 2″Faux Quilt Stamps by Unity Stamps

cardstock, glue, embossing folder

First I stamped the faux quilt images on a white cardstock and then cut the image into 1/2″ strips

Then on a 4 X 5.25 inch cardstock I made the quilt pattern, I played around quite a bit before I decided on the pattern and then glued the strips and embossed it with an embossing folder to give it the quilt look. I then layered it on a black cardstock and then the card base. Embellished the card with a sentiment and rhinestones.

Mixed Media Journal Cover

Hello, dear crafty friends! Vishu here today popping in to share a Mixed Media Journal Cover I up-cycled with Ann Butler products. We have a theme this month and its Fabric……….love it.

This was a fun project and I really enjoyed it. I made this for my daughter as she always keeps drawing/ coloring on papers and then leaves them everywhere 🙂 so I decided to give her this journal so all her artwork can stay in one place, had to decorate and personalize it so she actually uses it 🙂

I had this burlap covered journal in my stash, so first I stamped the diamond design stamp using black ink at the edge, added some rhinestone and lace. Then using acrylic paint I just randomly painted. I also cut flower shapes with the canvas penants and colored them using colorbox crafter’s ink in berry and green. First I just dipped the canvas in the inkpad, then sprayed some water and rubbed the color with my hands.

The rest of the cover came together pretty quickly, first I colored with the iridescent ink in pink over the white, while it was drying i assembled my flower together. I glued all my flowers and then stamped the name using Ann Butler’s 2″ flourishes stamp set. here is a closer look.

Up-Cycled Wood Bangle with Iridescents

A warm hello from Buffalo, Vishu here today, I am stopping by with a quick Up-Cycled Wood Bangle post. Love the way this bangle turned out and it was quick. This is great to give as a gift or if you want to increase your own jewelry collection.

Rhinestone sheets.

First I colored the wood bangle with 3 coats of Ann Butler’s Iridescents by Earth Safe Finishes – Berry, then using the Ann Butler’s Color Box Art Screen – Waves

colorbox daubers and black ink dabbed the waves design on the bangle. Lastly for a finishing touch cut a strip of rhinestone and stuck it to the outer edges of the bangle and voila!.

I absolutely love the iridescents as this give such a smooth shiny finish to any surface and the art screen gives that pop of design.

Background Basics Stamped Card

Hello Friends! Vishu here today. How is everybody enjoying the New Year so far, which does not feel so new anymore? This year I have been pushing myself and so far it seems overwhelming but I am hoping it will get better. Today’s card is a quick card for the those time when you want to something quick.

Products Used:

ColorBox® Ann Butler Background Basics quilt-themed stamps
ColorBox® Ann Butler Crafters’ Ink, Aquamarine, Sunshine
Cardstock, stickles, pearls, liquid pearls

First I stamped the stamp image on a cream cardstock using ColorBox® Ann Butler Crafters’ Ink, Aquamarine,

Then as you can see I started coloring the image with ColorBox® Ann Butler Crafters’ Ink, Sunshine
. I did do a couple of coats with the sunshine ink to get it a bit darker. The rest of the card came together pretty quickly, I layered the cardstocks, and glued the stamped image.

The image was then enhanced with some stickles and liquid pearl.

Re-cycled Stamped Bangles

Happy Holidays everyone! Its Vishu here today popping in to share this quick recycled bangle.

I really enjoyed working on this project and can’t wait to wear these bangles this holiday season. I think they make for a great gift too.

Ann Butler Design’s Crafter’s Ink by Clearsnap: Berry

White Cardstock

Colorbox Glitter

1/4″ wide double sided glue tape

I brought some bowls from Ikea and had these cardboard rings between two bowls. Since the rings were narrower I glued two rings together.

Then I stamped the image using crafter’s ink in berry.

I then cut out the image in the width I need

I stuck these pieces to the cardboard bangle

I then colored the edges with crafter’s berry ink color. Finally I stuck the double sided tape to the edges and poured the glitter.

Clean and Simple Card with Ann Butler Stamps

Colorbox Crafter’s Ink Bark

White cardstock, paper roses, twine.

First I stamped my image on a white cardstock using the crafter’s bark ink and then using Ann Butler Designs colorful inks filled in the stamped image.

I layered my stamped cardstock with a layer of white cardstock colored with Ann Butler Designs Berry inkpad as I wanted to have an exact match to the layered cardstock. I completed the card with 2 paper roses, twine and a sentiment.
