Carmen here and my project this month is a note card set stamped with a monogram and wrapped with a colorful paper strip. It’s super quick and easy and makes a fun last minute gift. I loved working with the big 2″ Ann Butler Flourish letter stamps. They are so pretty! While you’re at it, stamp an assortment of extra letters on white squares along with extra envelopes and cards and set them aside. That way you’ll always be ready to put together a quick gift!
Materials:
Plain Note Cards and Envelopes
Construction Paper – Blue, Green
Tools:
Ann Butler’s EZ-De’s Stamps – Flourish 2″ ABC’s
Ann Butler’s EZ-De’s Stamps – 1″ Rail Fence Set A
Ann Butler Colorbox Crafter’s Ink® by Clearsnap: Lilac, Aquamarine, Limelight, Berry
Stamp Blocks
Velcro® Mini Fasteners – 3/4″ x 3/4″ x 1″ Triangles
Scissors
Glue Stick
Instructions:
1. Stamp the note cards with Berry ink and the long rail stamp.
2. Stamp the backs of the envelopes with Lilac ink and your choice of letter stamp. Cut a 2″ square from note card and stamp it with a letter too.
3. Cut a 2 1/2″ green construction paper square and stamp it with Limelight ink and the diamond patterned stamp. Cut a 10″ x 1″ blue construction paper strip and stamp it with Aquamarine ink and the long rail stamp.
4. Gather up the stamped note cards and envelopes and wrap the blue paper strip around them. Use a Velcro mini triangle to fasten the strip together. (That way you’ll be able to neatly unwrap the blue strip when you want to use a note card.) Use glue stick to glue the green paper square to the blue strip and then top that with the white square which you stamped with a letter in Step 2.
See you next time!
