Graduation Centerpiece with Sizzix Twist Cube

Triple Play Week 2 Features Karen Buniston’s TWIST Cube Die from which I created a Graduation Centerpiece.

I had never worked with a POP-UP Die so was not sure what to expect…Several ideas for projects came to mind once I started to play…and this is what I came up with

It was perfect for a  Graduation Announcement and Centerpiece!

It was fun and easy to make!
I used info from my son’s graduation a couple years ago!
I added Black corrugated cardboard to the top and bottom for added stability.  I can imagine a table filled with these for all sorts of celebrations!

And they truly do fold down flat…The announcements that would be mailed out would not have the top piece added, I would make graduation hats from card stock and a tassel with fibers so they would be mailable!  My youngest is graduating this year so I think I will be playing with the TWIST Cube Die a lot in the next few months!

Sizzix Triple Play Clay House

It is time again for the SIZZIX BLOG HOP this time with a twist….it is a “TRIPLE PLAY BLOG HOP” and I created a Clay House.

Triple because we will be featuring dies from 3 Sizzix Die Artists: Eileen Hull  creator of the Sizzix Blog Hop and the fabulous Sizzix ScoreBoards,  Karen Burniston creator of the “Pop-up Die” and Brenda Pinnick.

Play because there will be  60 (or so) fabulous designers’ versions of each die on the Blog Hop!  I am honored to be one of those designers!

The first die is Eileen’s ScoreBoard Pro House die!

Terrorific BOO Teriffic ATC Holder

This is a re-post from the Sizzix Blog Hop last year using the ScoreBoard Box with Flap Die to create a BOO Teriffic ATC Holder.  I thought it was perfect for this week’s Terrorific  Tuesday!

This great little box can be used to hold a variety of items…..

I simply used the following products:
Earth Safe Finishes Clear Gel Medium

Ann Butler Design’s Iridescents in Snow by Earth Safe Finishes
Earth Safe Finishes Colorant, Terra Cotta to cover the matboard.
Then I added some shading along the edges
with Ann Butler Designs  Iridescents in Onyx , by Earth Safe Finishes
Adhesive domed letters to spell out “BOO”
Assorted fibers and a picture to finish it off.

Terrorific Tuesday Reverse Decoupage Glass Pumpkin Candle Holder

 Here is an Anchor Hocking Glass Pumpkin which is about 8″ high…that I turned into a Pumpkin Candle Holder

I cut out the face features from black tissue paper and applied them to the inside of the pumpkin with Earth Safe Finishes Gel Medium then I tore pieces of orange tissue paper
and applied them to the inside of the pumpkin with Earth Safe Finishes Gel Medium let dry… Place a battery operated tea light inside and ENJOY!

Star Stuck with Aleene Jackson of Aleene’s Tacky Glue

Inspired at Home held a LIVE PJ Party Event at the CHA Super Show last week and all I can say is it was a great show…
I was fortunate enough to be able to help out at the event.  Manufacturers were so generous with their products and gave away wonderful prizes to the attendees, it was a fun time for everyone!
The highlight of my night came when I got to meet Aleene Jackson the first lady of CRAFTS and creator of Aleene’s Tacky Glue in the Gold Bottle!  My dear friend Lisa Rojas had her camera and took this picture.  For once I don’t even think I took that bad of a picture….

Quick and Easy Shimmery Glittered Purse

 I created a quick and easy shimmery glittered  purse for this blog hop using the wonderful Scoreboard Dies created by my friend designer, Eileen Hull.

Pictured above is the Scoreboard Memo Holder which I made into a Quick and Easy Shimmery Glittered Purse.  I painted the matboard with Ann Butler Designs Iridescents in Emerald to give it beautiful shimmer and color.  Then, I added some sparkle with Clearsnap Daisy Daze Design Adhesives and Glitter

I used Mulberry Paper for the sides and a ribbon for a handle.

Sizzix Blog Hop Quick and Easy Christmas Frame

 It is time again for the Sizzix Blog Hop using the fabulous Frame ScoreBoard Die by my friend designer Eileen Hull.  I decided to create this Quick and Easy Christmas Frame.

Above is what I created with the ScoreBoard Frame Die…a Christmas Frame which was so quick and easy to put together.  The ScoreBoard Dies actually cut mat board and scores it at the same time…which makes everything so easy!

I used Ann Butler Designs Iridescents in Aquamarine to color the frame and then, added some metallic paper corners.  I used a Krylon Gold Leafing Pen along frame edge.  Then, I placed a three-dimensional Snowman card saying “Merry Christmas”on the inside of the frame!  Cute, Quick & Easy!
